biography

Formerly a third-generation banker, a Premed and Anthropology student, and then a Network Administrator for a San Francisco and Amsterdam public relations firm, Daniel enjoys painting and story-telling through his photography. He believes everyone has unique artistic potential that should never be discouraged. Indeed, he hopes his work encourages others to explore their own artistic sensibilities.

Daniel has lived in Philadelphia since 2006, by way of Singapore, Brooklyn, Hoboken, San Francisco, and Asheville. He is mostly self-taught in the craft of painting, but much of his early knowledge and experience came under the guidance of Benjamin Long at the Fine Arts League of Asheville. Renamed the Fine Arts League of the Carolinas, this atelier provided his first valuable exposure to classical training. Daniel describes his paintings as representational.
